Imagine if you were beaten, corralled, tortured, and subjected to the most cruelest separation from your family. How would hope manifest itself in the face of a most-certain death?

There’s no end to the wind that blows in my head,
Fantasies spin dream begets dream,
Flowers turned inward bloom in the dark,
Awkward in repose, withered and starved.

Night after night you appear in the light,
To a crying man dyin’ whose faith is on fire,
